Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Current public-site use

CheckCarCost does not currently use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or similar non-essential browser storage for public visitors. Calculator inputs are processed in the browser and are not intentionally saved in cookies, local storage, or session storage.

Strictly necessary cookies

WordPress may set authentication, security, or preference cookies for signed-in site administrators. These support a service explicitly requested by the signed-in user and are not used for behavioural advertising.

The cookie preference tool stores smc_consent for up to 180 days. Its sole purpose is to remember whether you accepted all optional categories or rejected non-essential technologies, so the site does not ask on every visit. It is treated as a necessary preference cookie and is not used to track browsing behaviour.

Dealer interest form

The dealer interest form sends the information you enter to this site's WordPress database when you submit it. The form does not require an advertising or analytics cookie. Information about this submission is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Future analytics or advertising

If non-essential analytics, advertising, social tracking, or other similar technologies are added, this policy will identify their provider, purpose, duration, and data sharing. The site's consent state is available to future integrations, and those technologies must remain disabled unless the visitor has chosen “Accept all” where consent is required. Refusing remains as easy as accepting, and the footer's “Cookie settings” control allows the choice to be changed.

How to control cookies

You can review, block, or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent administrator sign-in or other requested features from working correctly.

Changes to this policy

This policy must be reviewed whenever hosting, analytics, advertising, embedded media, consent tools, or other site technology changes.
